"I would give this punch a 5 star rating if the rating was only for being easy to punch through heavier weight card. I had no trouble whatsoever with punching easily through centura pearl card. However, unlike any other border punches I have of other makes, this punch has a much shorter area to align the card and much shorter edge to butt it up against. It is very hard to see where to line up the pattern and at the ends impossible to see if the card is butted up against the edge properly because it is hidden underneath the punching mechanism at that point. I have made many attempts so far and I have ended up with a wonky edge every time, especially at the ends, and the ends have also not been punched in the correct place due to not being able to tell if the card is properly butted up against the edge, which it clearly wasn't. Before I actually tried this out, I was planning to buy more of the punches in this range due to their ability to punch through 400 gsm card, but I'll have to think again about that now. I have already wasted some of my best card trying this punch out, and if that is the only result I am going to get, I'll just have to stick with my other punches, which may or may not punch through as thick card but at least give me perfect results every time."
