Good card - but.......

"I love this card and have bought it more than once but each time it has arrived with the corners damaged so that I have had to trim up to half an inch from each end. Not a lot I agree but when you have toppers which fit an A5 card it is annoying. I would willingly pay a little more for better packing, the card deserves it. Before attempting to fold the card I score it gently several times on both sides this avoids the cracks down the fold. A fairly thick scoring tool works best, the Glitter Girls ball tool is ideal."

"Ive now used this card to print, ive used it in a well know die cutting machine and as a base for card stock and love it. It gives a lovely shimmering christmas look to all my cards without having to add sprays and glitter."

"I have used this card folded to make A5 cards. I have put them through my printer to print headers and footers ie to put names top or bottom, it does need a little help by guiding through by hand or using the feeder button on the printer. Also go to properties on the printer settings and set the printer to card stock then size and there should be no problem. I have an all in one printer by Lex****"

"This is a really good quality card with a lovely finish, but like some others I have found that it will not go through my printer, I like another person have a well known printer and I tried the photo paper setting as well as the card stock settings but it still would not feed through so I am a little saddened by this."

"I was very pleasantly surprised by the beautiful results I achieved printing onto this card, because having read some of the other reviews I was worried it wouldn't print properly. My injet all in one printer made by a well known photo company had no trouble accepting this weight card, and to ensure good quality print I adjusted the print quality to 'best' before printing. I also altered the paper to 'glossy' and the results were perfect."

"have bought this card and the paper many times, having read the last 2 reviews can i pass on a couple of tips, when printing i set my printer to photo paper gloss as this will take thicker paper as good quality photo paper is usually 280 gsm and up, also this setting doesn't use to much ink and gives good results. remove copier paper from behind the card where you load the card in ,it seems to help the card go into the printer easier. hope this helps. ps my printer is a well known make starting with E but still cost me under £40 ."

"I love crafters companion, and use lots of their card stock stmps and tools, BUT what have you done with this card and pearl paper, Sarah ?? I printed out on this and couldn't use it.So used the paper, and htat was just as bad, but was passable, but I wasn't happy with my finished result. I called Crafters Companion - they say try using draft setting on plain card setting, have still got to try that. otherwise it will be just card stock, not what it was bought for. So becareful."

"Just used this card to make a wedding card, I have stamped and embossed on it and it has turned out better than I thought I like to print names onto my cards and the card won't go through my printer so I am really disappointed it won't go through as now I have to try to find something that will match the card or I will have to make another complete card on card that I know will go through my printer."

"I like this quality card for stamping and general card making - I can get a lovely sheen under promarkers. I only use it for inkjet printing if I want a very subtle effect, as the inks bleed into the card and the sharpness and brightness are lost. I have to be careful when folding not to take off the surface with my bonefolder."

"I have used this card for a lot of projects, but not for printing

"With a helpful 'nudge' this card went through my Epson ok, but the quality is dreadful - tried it on best and standard print settings - no difference in the result - blurred images. Sorry I bought it!"

"The card I recieved was 1cm short of the width of an A4 sheet !! and the print quality was very poor. I was very disappointed as I purchased this to make save the date cards for my step daughters wedding. It is very nice used for a simple fold card base though."

"Lovely product with a fantastic weight behind it, perfect for card blanks. The only gripe I have is when I score the card to fold it and the burnish it with a bone folder, the pearlescent coating can easily be torn and makes little rips in the card. Not sure if I'm just not doing it right, but I've now resorted to scoring it on top of the coating, then folding it back on itself, and not burnishing it with a bone folder, that seems to help."

"This card is a great weight for cards and boxes. It is pearlesent only on one side but that's ok as I usually use an insert anyway. Your cards will look expensive and classy using this card. I would definitely but this again."
